In October 2025, I presented the paper “An Energy Management System Framework with Voltage Control Functionality for Active Distribution Networks” at the IEEE PES/IAS Power Africa 2025 Conference in Cairo, Egypt. This international conference brought together global experts, researchers, and industry leaders in power and energy systems to discuss the latest research findings, innovative ideas, emerging technologies, and sustainable solutions for the African and global power systems sector.

Together with Associate Professor Yutaka Sasaki from Hiroshima University, we actively engaged in presentations, discussions, and networking sessions, enhancing the visibility of our university’s research activities.

Through this conference, new research connections were established with participants from African and international institutions, while existing collaborations between Hiroshima University and several African and worldwide Universities were further strengthened. These interactions have already inspired discussions on future joint research, publications, and applications for international funding programs such as JSPS Bilateral Programs and Africa-Japan (AJ)-CORE. This achievement contributes to Hiroshima University’s mission of advancing global collaboration, promoting carbon neutrality, and developing sustainable energy technologies.

2025年10月、エジプト・カイロで開催されたIEEE PES/IAS Power Africa 2025において、「An Energy Management System Framework with Voltage Control Functionality for Active Distribution Networks」と題して研究成果を発表した。本国際会議には、電力・エネルギー分野の研究者、専門家、産業界のリーダーが世界各国から参加し、アフリカおよび世界の電力システム分野における最新の研究成果、革新的技術、持続可能なソリューションについて活発な議論が行われた。同行した佐々木豊准教授とともに、発表や議論、ネットワーキング活動に積極的に参加し、本学の研究活動の国際的な発信と認知度向上に貢献した。

また、本会議を通じて、アフリカおよび世界各国の大学・研究機関との新たな研究連携を構築するとともに、広島大学と複数の海外大学との既存の協力関係をさらに強化することができた。

これらの交流を通じて、将来的な国際共同研究、論文共著発表、ならびにJSPS二国間交流事業やAfrica-Japan（AJ）-COREなどの国際共同研究資金への申請に向けた具体的な議論を行うきっかけにつながった。さらに、広島大学が推進する国際連携の強化、カーボンニュートラルの実現、持続可能なエネルギー技術の発展に貢献することも期待される。
