With support from this grant, I had a valuable opportunity to give an oral presentation at an international conference in the Philippines in March 2025. My presentation focused on the current state of COVID-19 loneliness research, highlighting global research trends and policy implications. With practical policy informing of loneliness in the post-pandemic era, this topic draws attention from researchers, public health officials, and NGO representatives across various countries.

Through the conference, I had a chance to engage in active discussions with researchers from other countries, such as Taiwan, India, and Finland. These conversations not only provided constructive feedback on my research, but also inspired ideas for future research directions, such as comparative studies across countries or the inclusion of marginalized populations in loneliness research.

The connections I made during the conference have the potential for me to initiate new research collaborations in the future. Presenting at this international platform also helps me refine my communication skills and gain deeper insights into how loneliness is being addressed globally. It also reaffirms the importance of interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches to tackling public health challenges. I am truly grateful for the support grant, which made this experience possible and meaningful.
